Narrowing your search results
You can refine your searches by using specific fields in your search string. These fields include:
- description—item description field, for example, description:Portland finds all items with the term Portand in the description.
- group—the ID of the group, for example, group:1d1f24e8556642f49448f1c88b5a571b returns all content from the ESRI Maps and Data group.
- owner—owner of the item, for example, owner:esri returns all content published by ESRI.
- tags—tag field, for example, tags:"San Francisco" returns items tagged with the term San Francisco.
- title—title of the item, for example, title:"World Imagery" returns items with World Imagery in the title.
- type—item type such as "map", "map_mxd", "layer package", and "layer_nmf", for example, type:map returns items with map as the type, such as map documents and map services. This field is pre-defined by the ArcGIS Online index; it cannot be set or modified by the owner of the item.
TIP:
- When doing a field search, use a colon (:) after the field name, for example, owner:esri.
