Notifications are status messages generated by ArcGIS Online about your group membership requests.
You receive messages when you request to join a group, when your request has been accepted or declined, and when you’ve been invited to join a group. Access your Notifications by clicking the Notifications link next to your username.
The messages appear in your Notifications until you delete them (by clicking the red X).
